Your information
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how information is handled when you use this portfolio website.
Information collected
If you use the contact form, the site collects the name, email address, subject, and message you submit. These details are used to read and respond to your inquiry.
Analytics: what is tracked and why
Only if you accept analytics cookies, the site records page views, which buttons and links you click, how far you scroll, whether you start or send the contact form, and basic device details (device type, operating system, browser, screen size, language, time zone). It also stores your approximate country and city, looked up from a local database on our own server (no third-party service), and a shortened IP address (last part removed) plus a salted hash. A random first-party visitor ID cookie links these events together. This is used to understand which parts of the site are useful and to fix problems. No fingerprinting is used.
If you reject analytics, or your browser sends Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control, no visitor cookie is set and no individual events are recorded. Only an anonymous count of page views per page is kept. Known bots are logged separately and logged-in administrators are excluded. Anonymous page totals do not identify a visitor and are retained as aggregate statistics.
Free tools
We log that you used a tool and basic settings. We never log what you type or upload. This means the tool name, the action (open, run, copy, download, or error), option choices from drop-down lists, the size of the input and output, how long it took, whether it worked, and your country and device type (the last two only if you accepted analytics). The text, domains, files, passwords, resumes, JSON or AI prompts and answers you use are not stored in our usage logs. Tools that run in your browser do not send their data to the server at all. AI writing tools send the text you submit to Groq's API to produce a response; DNS and certificate tools send the domain you ask them to check to the relevant DNS or certificate-data provider. Those providers' own privacy and retention practices apply to data they receive. A site administrator can optionally enable a heavily masked sample for selected non-sensitive tools; the switch is off by default and those samples are deleted after 30 days. Tools continue to work if usage logging is unavailable.
Cookies and preferences
A first-party cookie stores your cookie preference (accept, reject, or saved settings) for 180 days. If you accept analytics, a second first-party cookie holds a random visitor ID for up to 180 days. The site also stores your selected display theme in your browser's local storage. These help the site remember your choices.
How long data is kept
Detailed analytics events, sessions and tool logs: 90 days. Application logs: 30 days. Security logs and login history: 180 days. Consent records: 12 months. Contact messages: 12 months. After that the detailed rows are deleted automatically; only anonymous daily totals are kept. These periods can be changed by the site administrator and the current values are listed in the admin settings.
Asking for access or deletion
To ask for access to, or deletion of, your data (contact messages or analytics linked to your visitor ID), contact [CONTACT EMAIL] and include enough detail to identify your submission or browser visit and when it occurred. Do not send passwords, identity documents, or other sensitive information in your request. Authorized staff use the admin's data-request tools to search, export, or delete matching records; each search, export, or deletion is recorded in a data-request log. Data already sent to an external tool provider must also be handled under that provider's process.
External services
Links to external websites are subject to those websites' own privacy policies. This site does not control how external sites handle information.
